Lighting is so important to us at Mindy Brownes Interiors. Ambient lighting can sometimes be over looked in a home and we tend to think spot lights and ceiling lighting, but table lighting covers all three areas, practicality, ambience and style. Choose where you are placing your lighting first, that is before you purchase the light. Check the exact height at which it will sit, as well as its distance from the wall, sofa, or bed. Ensure to check the width of the shade also. The general norm when choosing the correct height is to choose a lamp where the bottom of the shade is at your eye level when you are seated or resting. Another quick trick is to measure the table height and width, your lamp should be no more than 1½ times the height of the furnishing it sits on, and the lampshade shouldn’t overlap the table.
Contemporary, Traditional, luxurious and classic are just a few styles that Mindy Brownes Offers. Today however we are introducing you to discover painted ceramic lighting - an Old World feel that allows for a pop of colour to your decor. We found some pretty images on Pinterest to give you some inspiration as to how this style would look in your home. Our Dawn Lamp for example would sit beautifully on a rustic sideboard or our Hailey Lamp as a pretty chic beside lamp.
